Very cool! I just watched my first video at http://edupln.ning.com/. I’m digging the social networking opportunities for educators. We truly are lifelong learners and never before has there been such an opportunity to learn from so many other people. I highly reccomend watching this video, http://edupln.ning.com/video/tom-whitby-explains-twitter. I remember when I first became a teacher in 1996 when I joined Teach for America. I felt like I was completely alone. I busted my butt for two years without any outside collaboration; and while I taught my students, I was clearly not an effective educator. Today, there is no excuse for not being an effective educator given the web-based tools with which we are all provided freely. Up until last week, I thought that one had to be an internet guru to do this stuff, but now I realize that I can learn any of the applications and use them to help my students acheive. Thanks Al Gore!
